This Thursday 9th of January 2025, between 2 & 4:30, we are starting the new year with a bang! We are going to get you on your feet an moving in the cold weather and in a warmer venue – The falcon Rowing club on Donnington Bridge. Its just on the Iffley side of the bridge on Donnington Bridge Road – if you’ve got any questions call o7551 8o8 287 and we’ll do our best to help you get there. We’ll be playing some classic 60s, motown, disco and a host of great music.
GETTING TO FALCON ROWING CLUB
Directions are below but if you’d like help you can meet at 2pm at either:
1. The bus stop (Howard St West), by the Co-op on Iffley Road. Francoise will wait for people and will then walk down with them. It is 0.4 mile to walk.
2. St Mary & St John Church. Susie will wait there and leave shortly after 2pm. It is 1 mile or a 20 minute walk. We hope to be able to give anyone who needs it, a lift back to to bus stops afterwards.
BY BUS
ALONG THE IFFLEY ROAD – Buses 3 and 3A, 46 – Howard Street West Stop. Then walk down Fairacres Road to the bottom and turn left. The entrance to the Falcon Rowing Club is through the car park on your right (the first car park).
The walk from the bus stop is about 10 minutes (0.4 Mile)
BY BUS FROM ABINGDON ROAD
X1 and X15 – the stop is Chatham Road. You then walk over Donnington Bridge and turn left. The Falcon Rowing Club is at the back of the second car park on your left. The walk from the bus stop is about 12-14 minutes (0.6 mile)
The no 46 shuttle bus goes over Donnington Bridge and the walk is only a couple of minutes but the buses stop running by 2pm.
BY CAR – there is a good sized car park just for the Rowing Club and it is free.
BY BIKE – there are bike racks just outside the building.
